This month, we’re highlighting Daryck Dupree Jr. in celebration of his latest release, “Jesus Touched Me,” a powerful tribute originally sung by his late mother, Ernestine Portis.
Born and raised in Washington, DC, Daryck grew up in a family where faith and music were deeply intertwined. From an early age, he performed alongside his family throughout the DMV, later developing his voice as a lead guitarist and versatile musician across multiple genres.
Today, Daryck continues to honor his family’s musical legacy through his work, grounded in faith and shaped by life as a devoted husband to Shekinah and a proud father. “Jesus Touched Me” reflects both remembrance and renewal — carrying forward the sound and spirit that first inspired his journey.
